Statement on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
The Consortium for Public Education works with our partners to ensure that public schools are places where all students feel safe, accepted, and valued.
Our work and our schools are made better when we create space to hear from people with a variety of life experiences. Those viewpoints are then used to continuously improve our programs and resources so that every student and educator has what they need to achieve success.
We acknowledge the structural inequalities in our education system, believing that everyone’s voice counts and adds to the multiplicity of perspectives that make a whole greater than the sum of its parts.
To that end, we firmly commit to lead with empathy; to recognize and learn from our own biases; to seek out and celebrate diversity in all of its facets; and to create inclusive learning spaces and experiences everyday where all feel they are welcome and they belong.
